Tour de Westerville

We had a nice ride yesterday with friends on a tour of Westerville. This was Susan’s first group ride on her EZ-1 and she was awesome. We even had the company of Todd from Guardian. Nothing real eventful, just a nice easy ride starting at Innis gardens, past Hoover reservoir, through Towers park and North to the trail along 3C. We came back South and went along Polaris Parkway for a long down hill run. I was up to 24mph and certainly not the leader of the pack but it was a blast!

I guess the best part was where the trail goes through Everal Barn park where to our suprise they had an art show going on. We rode right past the kid collecting a dollar admission from everyone. The look on his face… “hey.. oh forget it”. We slowly made our way through the crowd, all twelve of us in a single line. Fortunately no one was injured and we rode on south along the Alum creek pathway. We made our way back up to Innis park about two and a half hours later and logged 25 miles for the record book.

Okay, not a ton of miles but pretty good for an old fart like me on a lawn chair with wheels.
